JobTranz vs. Web Based Uploads
The most common and critical issue with web site-based uploads is reliability. Web browsers were not created to send files and often choke or crash during transfers. JobTranz was developed to transfer small and large files with a level of reliability unmatched by any other software on the market. When your clients have looming deadlines, they deserve a file transfer system that works the first time around!
JobTranz vs. CD's and Zip disks
If the files your client needs to send are larger than 700MB's they must be split across CD's (650-700MB max per CD) or burned to a DVD. Even if your client can fit the files on a CD, Zip disk or DVD, the CD's, Zip disks, or DVD's still have to be sent out via express mail or courier, adding time and overhead for both you and your clients.

JobTranz immediately transfers the files your client's are sending, eliminating unreliable web based-uploads, costly courier charges, and file mix ups
JobTranz vs. Email
Most email systems choke or reject transmissions when the total attachment size exceeds 5-20MB. Some systems will reject emails with attachments as small as 1-2MB, making splitting up files inevitable. Also, while sending an email if there is a network interruption, failure, or crash, email requires you to restart the transmission from the beginning. Additionally, most email clients tie up your computer's processing power making it difficult to work in other programs while a large file is being transferred.

JobTranz eliminates all of the hassles noted above by offering up to 32GB's of transfer bandwidth at one time, automatically restarting transfers if your network or computer should crash or fail, and will not cause your computer's processor to choke during transfers.
JobTranz vs. FTP

FTP has many limitations and time consuming obstacles, including:

  • FTP was not developed with the novice computer user in mind, and therefore requires a higher level of expertise to use.
  • FTP requires a great deal of administration to install.
  • Senders and receivers must install and configure an FTP client.
  • Clients must have an IP address, username, password to access the server.
  • Your client will have to purchase an FTP client for their computer.
  • You do not receive project notes with an FTP transfer unless the client attaches a README file, which most don't, requiring the user to send a separate email, fax or phone call with notes if necessary.
  • For most FTP clients, network interruptions or crashes require manually restarting the transmission and retransmission of the entire file.
  • Some FTP clients do not allow transfers of files approaching 2GB and larger.
  • No simultaneous transfers possible.
  • Accidental mis-configuration could leave file space open to viewing, modifying, and deleting other clients' files.

JobTranz eliminates all of the hassles and problems of FTP by providing a free, simple to understand interface anyone can successfully use the first time around, simple server installation instructions, a system free of IP addresses, Usernames or Passwords, automatic restart of transfers that were interrupted due to network congestion or crashing, and much more.
